Have you ever seen someone on you’re travels and wondered who they are?

The Man with silver white hair, pale pale skin sitting in the shelter of the winter sun. He was wearing a bright red scarf, suede autumn orange shoes and a brown leather jacket. He was sitting on a bench in  the train station platform, holding a small football leather bag. Where was he going and what was in the bag?

I can categorize people into four different types:

1. The Shopper

2. The Fashion freak

3. The Perfectionist

4. The Convenient one

The shopper is a person who will have a big bag and will want to use it for everyday shopping, whether it is grocery shopping or clothes shopping. Practicality is the main objective of this person. Things like a lot of pockets and space is important. The attention to care of the bag will be ranging from a 1 to 5.

The Fashion freak, now the fashion freak will be clued on with the latest fashion trends and will want to buy the latest hand bag. Ofcourse in this case money is no object. They will want to buy the handbags to emphasise the latest fashion , whether it will be a designer bag or high street brand. The attention to care of the bag will be ranging to a sky high 10 +.

The Perfectionist will do their research on the handbag before the purchase. Attention to detail is a must, things like the colour of the handbag, the stitching, zips, buckles, and buttons is essential. They would want a perfect handbag, whether it is for everyday use or for going out. The attention to care of the bag will be a 1o.

The Convenient one will want to chuck in anything and everything in their handbag. Just in case for those moments where they may need something. The hand bag will be a casual bag, something not to flash just right. The attention to care of the bag will be a 5.

It was a warm Thursday in June. I was standing in the shade leaning against the canteen wall. It suddenly dawned on me that this was one of the hottest days of the year. I looked up at the blue sky and noticed the birds flying in the shape of an arc. I felt so relaxed. The sky was a beautiful blue not a single cloud in sight. I could see the glowing sun, looking as bright as ever and could feel the heat on the back of my neck and on one side of my shoulder. I looked towards my right and saw a tall oak tree. The tree looked ever so still like a statue, a slight wind gathered and blew the dark green leaves. The light of the sun was shining on one side if the tall oak tree, like the moon shining at its brightest. I could just make out a squirrel climbing the side of the tree, stopping ever so often like it had lost something precious. It reminded me of the time when I was six. I had a dark red purse adorned with gold beads, I took it where ever I went but one day I somehow managed to lose it

I have designed my handbags for women who are looking to stand out from the crowd and are prepared to be questioned “where did you get that handbag from?”.

I come from a Fashion background and have always been intrigued by the individuality and self expression that can be displayed in the form of fashion. If by magic something new and trendy can transform you!

Individuality is an important factor that women need to embrace more, it is not always about what everyone else has got or wearing, it is about what is different about what you have and that is what Kookete is about.
